Nutrient schedules for leafy greens and herbs

Leafy greens and herbs share similar nutrient needs, which makes them the easiest starting point for a shared feeding schedule across your whole tower.

Week 1 (seedling stage): use a half-strength nutrient mix. Young roots can be damaged by full-strength solution before they're established.

Weeks 2–4 (vegetative growth): move to full-strength nutrients, refreshing the reservoir every 10–14 days rather than just topping up water, since dissolved nutrients deplete unevenly.

From week 4 onward, watch leaf colour as your guide, deep, even green means you're on track; pale new growth suggests it's time to check pH before adding more nutrient (a lock-out issue, not a deficiency).

The monthly subscription box is built around this exact schedule, so if you're not mixing your own solutions, the pre-measured packets already account for these stage changes.
